The XPress 2 is Lectric’s answer to “Class 3 commuter under $1,500.” Most Class 3 ebikes start at $1,800+. Lectric hits $1,399 with hydraulic brakes, Shimano 8-speed, a torque sensor (toggleable to cadence via their XPerience Switch), and full UL safety certification.

The compromises are obvious: cable-actuated spring suspension instead of air, base price doesn’t include rack and fenders (those come with paid bundles), and 64 lbs without folding is on the heavy side. But for the commuter who wants real Class 3 speed and doesn’t want to pay an Aventon-tier premium, this is the price/performance leader.

Lectric now has three models in this catalog: XP4 (folding), XPress 2 (high-step commuter), and XPedition 2.0 (cargo). Three tiers, one brand, all built on the same engineering pipeline.
