Strengths
- Full adjustable air/coil suspension front and rear is rare on Class 2 ebikes at any price.
- 4-piston hydraulic discs with 203mm rotors give strong stopping power under load.
- Unlockable ride modes span Class 1-3 plus off-road, covering most US use cases.
- 960Wh battery is among the larger packs in the moped-style ebike segment.
- Strong dealer network and parts support versus most direct-to-consumer rivals.
Weaknesses
- 28 mph ceiling feels modest next to 60+ mph rivals at higher price tiers (Onyx RCR territory).
- 84 lb weight is heavy for true pedaling — throttle-only use is more realistic.
- Premium pricing for a hub motor and 2,000W peak versus cheaper competitors offering similar specs.
- Single-speed setup limits pedal usefulness at low or high speed.

Super73 built its reputation on style. The RX Mojave is what happens when they finally take suspension seriously. Full adjustable air/coil front fork plus a piggyback coilover rear shock — on a Class 2 ebike, that’s almost unheard of, and it transforms how the RX rides on anything that isn’t perfectly smooth pavement.
The trade-off is that you’re paying $3,245 for a 750W hub motor and a 28 mph top speed. Spec-for-spec, an Onyx RCR or even a higher-end direct-to-consumer fat tire offers more raw power for the money. What you’re paying for is the suspension, the build quality, the dealer network, and the brand. If those things don’t matter to you, this isn’t your bike. If they do, it’s the most refined moped-style ebike under $4,000.
The unlockable ride modes are the practical feature. Class 2 by default keeps the bike legal in bike lanes; Class 3 unlocks 28 mph pedal-assist for road commutes; off-road mode removes the limiter for trails and private property.
