Strengths
- Genuinely car-like: ABS, power steering, aluminum chassis, MacPherson struts.
- Real HVAC including heat, cool, and defrost — rare in the LSV class.
- 8 / 12 kWh LFP gives 60-90 mi range — top-tier for LSV.
- Premium interior options (vegan leather, Sony infotainment, sunroof).
- Compact 23-ft turning circle ideal for dense urban use.
Weaknesses
- Only 2 seats — no kids, no carpool, limited cargo.
- Long-delayed US launch — deliveries and service network still early.
- Premium price for a 25 mph vehicle versus cheaper 4-seat alternatives.
- Plus trim pricing not publicly disclosed.

The Eli ZERO is the premium pick in the LSV category — aluminum chassis, MacPherson struts, real ABS and power steering, a Sony infotainment system, and an interior that feels closer to a small European city car than a glorified golf cart.
The 12 kWh LFP battery in the ZERO Plus delivers up to 90 miles of range, more than any other LSV under $20,000. The car-like build quality and 23-foot turning circle make it the most usable LSV in dense urban environments.
The two real trade-offs: it’s a 2-seater (no kids, no carpool, limited cargo) and Eli’s US launch has been delayed multiple times, so service network depth is unproven. If you can live with two seats and you value premium feel over capacity, the ZERO is the most refined option in this category. For a family, the GEM e4 or Wink Mark 2 are the right picks.
